Warner Bros. releases new trailers for Wonder Woman and LEGO Batman

Last Friday, Marvel’s Doctor Strange hit theaters. It was met with applause from critics and fans alike for its visual effects, writing, and actor portrayals. After seeing it I can hardly wait for not only the next Marvel movie, but for the next dozen superhero flicks sure to be thrown our way. It just so happens that Warner Bros. released trailers for two of its upcoming DC films.

Wonder Woman

Warner Bros. debuted the second trailer for their upcoming Justice League series film Wonder Woman last Thursday. In this trailer, we get a glimpse of the world Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is from. She and the Amazonians live in a secluded paradise, far from the violence of the ongoing World War. That is, until, the war comes to them. Diana must leave behind the life she has known and enter into a world where women are expected to blend into the background. We also are given a hint as to what villains Wonder Woman may face in this film. A clip in the trailer shows a woman wearing a mask, a woman some believe to be Dr. Poison. Whoever she may have to defeat, Wonder Woman definitely seems more than capable of taking care of herself. The release date for Wonder Woman is June 2, 2017.

The LEGO Batman Movie

The fourth trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie debuted last Friday. This film continues the story of the Batman we met in 2014’s The LEGO Movie. It provides audiences with a new look at the Caped Crusader. He’s adored by everyone in Gotham and become a sort of superhero celebrity. However, back at the Bat Cave, he only has his Butler, Alfred, to keep him company. Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) believes that taking an orphan under his bat wing would do him some good. Let the hilarity ensue. Batman (Will Arnett) and Robin (Michael Cera) are poised to team up with Barbara Gordon (Rosario Dawson) and take down a jealous Joker (Zach Galifianakis). This animated film is gearing up to be a visual delight fit for movie-goers of all ages. The release date for The LEGO Batman Movie is February 10, 2017.
